my TV is a 58 inch plasma, and quite frankly I do not care what they say this TV will hold, I was NOT risking my new TV with this product. Well let me explain a little more. no way.I sent it backBUT hey maybe it is good for a small TV, but nothing too big IMO Took it out of the box. and was not impressed.
TV seemed very secure in the end.It was very easy to move the TV, once mounted, to center it on my fireplace. It also seemed easy enough to change the tilt after mounting the TV, unlike what someone else has said here. Also, it did not seem very hard to add or remove cables from behind (after mounting the TV), though it was a little tight. What I LikeVery sturdy product. Arrived with a hole in the box and one plastic packet containing bolts was open so some seem to have escaped from the box.Did contain one M8 bolts needed for my 52" Samsung LCD TV BUT half the length, so I had to run to the local hardware store and get some. I had all my cables plugged in before mounting. What I hatedThe packaging (apparantly from Amazon.com) seemed like either someone had done a quick job or was opened and repackaged at some point. Took me more time to locate and ensure I had the stud than to actually mount my TV, since I wanted to be 100% sure I had the stud. Mounting TV took about 45 mins with the help of a friend.
Surprise: I got my check in ONE WEEK. Overall, did exactly what it claimed to do, and with plenty to spare.Highly recommended.EDIT: This company is amazing. I mailed in my rebate form, fully expecting to wait the "6-12 weeks" they said it would take. I know: who cares how "beautiful" it is when you can't see it when it's doing its job. Nice. Oh, and you could hang a Buick from it, too.Easy to install, once you've found your studs--not the products fault, btw. Just saying it is a quality product, well-made, finely finished. Solid as a rock for my 32" Sharp, although it could handle a lot bigger and heavier, too.
It works great; quite pleased with purchase. For safety, two people are needed to lift TV onto bracket. Very solid and sturdy. I did need to purchase longer screws to attach TV to bracket, however, it was easy to install once I did.
The instructions are written in clear English and are easy to follow. I tried a few other mounts, but each one was flimsy and came with impossible-to-understand directions. Thanks, PDR. My tv now sits less than an inch of the wall and looks great. Then I tried the moderately-priced PDR. It is built with extremely high quality steel.
